HFCL bagged order worth of Rs.40.36 Crore Optical fibre cable, supplying to the leading telecom company.
HFCL’s share price surged over 1% to reach a 52-week high on February 27 following the company’s receipt of purchase orders totaling Rs 40.36 crore. The orders are for the supply of optical fibre cables to one of the leading private telecom operators in the country.

The company is set to supply various types of optical fibre cables based on customer specifications, with the order scheduled for execution by June 2024.
In a recent development, the company’s board of directors approved a strategic expansion into Europe by establishing an optical fibre cable manufacturing facility in Poland.
The proposed manufacturing facility in Poland will initially have a capacity of 3.25 mfkm per annum, involving a capital outlay of up to Rs 144 crore. This facility is scalable up to 7 mfkm per annum.
Earlier this month, the company secured a purchase order totaling Rs 141 crore (comprising Rs 119 crore for capital expenditure and Rs 22 crore for AMC) for the supply of indigenously designed and manufactured Unlicensed Band Radios (UBRs) and other associated services to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
Despite a 20% decline in net profit for the December quarter, which stood at Rs 82.43 crore, the company’s shares reached a 52-week high following a positive market response to recent developments.

The company has entered into a license agreement for two new properties: Lemon Tree Resort in Sankhwas Garh, Rajasthan, and Keys Lite by Lemon Tree Hotels in Vijayawada, as stated in an exchange filing. Both properties, managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, are set to open in FY26.

Despite an 11.5% decline in net profit for the December quarter, reaching Rs 35.40 crore, the company continues to expand its portfolio.

Power Mech, in an exchange filing, announced a Rs 396.25 crore order for constructing the electrified 4th Railway BG line between Dadhapara-Belaha-Dagori and Nipania-Bhatapara-Hathbandh stations in Chhattisgarh, South East Central Railway, on an EPC basis. The project is slated for completion in 30 months.
In the quarter ending December 2023, the company reported a 17.7% surge in net profit to Rs 60.38 crore.
Furthermore, in January 2024, Power Mech secured orders worth Rs 381.34 crores from Rail Vikas Nigam and Rs 263.57 crores from Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Limited (NUPPL). Additionally, the company received Civil and Mechanical Construction works for the 2×800 MW (Phase-II) Mahan Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Project in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, from Mahan Energen Limited, amounting to Rs 825 crore.
